Task 2 (A) - Key Artwork
I did very rough sketching of ideas that I have for this task.

As I start digitalization, I digitalized more artwork as I explore the
different typefaces and experiment with it. I used Adobe Illustrator to
digitalize my artwork.

After getting feedback from Mr.Vinod, I made improvements to my key artwork.
Since it is hard to just make a key artwork from the letters " A" and "C", I
decided to 2 more initials to it. I explored on the different ways I can
combine my 4 initials together.

Task 2 (B) - Collateral
After finalizing the key artwork, we were to make collaterals out from my
key artwork. The first thing I did with my key artwork was to animate it. I
animated my key artworking using Adobe After Effects.

My first attempt was really slow so I increased the fps so that the animation would be faster. It looks smoother as well.

After creating the animation for my key artwork, I continued to design the
merch. I was going for a simple design for my merch. I searched for mockups
online to help design my merch.

FEEDBACK
Week 6
General Feedback:
Specific Feedback: The letters A and C are quite common in monogram making. The
combinations that are worked on tend to be used already. Need to
be careful and do a reverse search on Google to see how many
designs come close to the one I have. The placement of the letters
is pretty common simply because the letters A and C are really
common in monogram making. Bottom middle design is really
interesting as there is play of missing strokes. The only thing to
worry about is just the composition.
Week 7
General Feedback:
Specific Feedback: Interesting form. A bit unstable but we
need to move with it. Putting it on a box is acceptable but it can
be better.
REFLECTION
Experience
I get to experience using different typefaces to create different
designs to complete this task. I also experienced using mockups to create my collateral which I have not tried before.
Observation
I observed that I was struggling with task 2 as it was hard to create
artwork with only initials. I also struggled when I was doing my collateral as I was not sure how to portray my key artwork or logo nicely.
Findings
I found out that creating an artwork is not
easy at all when using initials as it may be really common. It is hard to
create an artwork that is really unique as your ideas might already be out
there.
