Exercise 1: Quantifiable Information

For this task, we were to quantify items and arrange them into a presentable layout or chart. I chose to quantify and arrange legos for this task.

I sorted out my legos according to the type of plates and colours.

After sorting them out, I arranged them on a piece of paper. I organized and labelled their respective colors and subsequently, provided the count of the different plates.

Exercise 2: L.A.T.C.H

For exercise 2, we were to organize a group of information into a visual poster that combined and utilizes the L.A.T.C.H principles. I chose to use pokemons for this exercise. Before starting to design the poster, I sorted the information.

After that, I started to design my poster. I was inspired by the Tamagotchi game. Therefore, I drew a Tamagotchi using Procreate. I imported my drawing into Adobe Illustrator and start arranging my elements and information.

FEEDBACK

Exercise 2: L.A.T.C.H
  • Looks interesting
  • Reduce empty space
  • Arrangement of elements not very smooth

REFLECTION

Both the exercise were very interesting. I had fun finishing both exercises. I learn how to sort and arrange things better now after completing the exercises. I never knew of the L.A.T.C.H principle to sort and arrrange information. Therefore, there is definitely a takeaway from these exercise.
