Task 3 - Positioning & Identity
For this task, we were to think about our brand's positioning and design
various applications for my brand. We were to think about our brand story,
vision & mission, target audience, brand value, unique selling proposition
and positioning statement before designing our various applications for the
brand. I thought about it and compiled it using Google Docs. I also added some
references for my applications in the Google Docs.

After determining my brand positioning, I started designing my various design
applications for my brand. I used Adobe Illustrator to illustrate my artwork
and Adobe Photoshop to do the mockups.
Stationaries
I started of by designing the stationaries for the brand.

Collaterals
I proceeded to design the collaterals for my brand after
finishing my stationaries. I was struggling to find a suitable
font for body wash packaging. I didn't create a lot of
variations for my design for the collateral.

Digital Presence
For my digital presence, I designed half of a landing page
and 9 individual instagram post. I was deciding if i should
go for the lighter colour or darker colour for my landing
page.

Environmental
For the environmental graphics, my initial plan was to
create vending machine, pop-up store and poster
mockups. However, I could not find any vending machine
or pop-up store mockups. I proceed to design a
billboard, sign and poster for my environmental
graphics instead.

FEEDBACK
Week 7
- Demographics is a bit too wide
- Can try having mockup posters for different settings
- Put more reference pictures for the slides
Week 9
- Title for business card look a bit too loud, maybe try a simplier font
- Pattern for envelope a bit too large
- Maybe could try using rounded corner mockup for thank you card
- Landing page darker looks nice as it is more consistent
- Try to incorporate your body text font in the Instagram post
- Similarly, try to incorporate the new font used for collateral for stationaries
Week 10
- Try another way to distinguish the socials, but if it doesn't work its okay
- Add 1 landing page mockup
- Overall, everything is good
Week 11
- Credit your sources
- Positioning of brand is well considered
- Can be more critical with space rationalization
- Can have logo minimum size slightly smaller
- Final artwork are consistent. It demonstraes the brand well but it seems like a safe approach. Can have improvement for creativity.
- Supporting sketches shows relation with the applications
REFLECTION
Experience
As I thought about my brand, bubbles & cuddles, I immersed myself in the process of defining its positioning and designing various design applications. It was an exciting and creative endeavor that allowed me to explore different aspects of my brand's identity and create a cohesive visual and experiential representation.
Observation
Throughout the process of designing various design applications, such as stationery, collaterals, digital presence, and environmental graphics, I closely observed the interplay between visuals and the brand's positioning. I observed the importance of using soft, soothing colors and gentle typography to convey the comforting and luxurious experience bubbles & cuddles aim to provide.
Findings
I discovered that consistency was key in conveying the brand's essence across all design applications. Each design element needed to align with the brand's positioning to create a cohesive and impactful visual identity.
