REFLECTION

Experience

My experience with learning advanced typograaphy has been pretty decent. It is harder but I gained a lot of knowledge from this module. This would be really helpful in the future when I go out to the working world. I experimented a lot when doing the task and I learn from it. Overall, I enjoyed this module even though it caused me countless sleepless nights. The thing I enjoyed the most in this module is when I was creating the applications for my task.

Observation

I still have the same issue as last semester which is I struggle to come up with ideas for my work. I should learn how to find more inspiration so that it boosts my creative juice. I also observed that I have improved on my skills when using FontLab. Even though there is still a lot of features in FontLab where I don't know how to use, my knowledge in FontLab has increased compared to last semester.

Findings

I found that you can have effects in FontLab to help you create different designs for your letters. I also found the kerning is a nightmare as it really requires a lot of time and time is an enemy to university students. I also found that I have improved on my skills for typography compared to last semester.
