REFLECTION

Experience

Throughout my course on publishing design, I have gained invaluable experience that has greatly aided me in creating my book. The various exercises and assignments offered in the course have been instrumental in honing my skills and providing me with a solid foundation. This course has also helped me understand the step by step process of creating a book. The exercises and assignments were also helpful in helping me understand the anatomy of a book and refine my skills as I create a book.

Observation

I observed that throughout this course, I was struggling to come up with consistent visuals for my book. At times, maintaining a coherent design theme felt daunting, and I grappled with finding the right balance between creativity and consistency. However, as I received feedback from Mr. Vinod, I learned to refine my concepts and identify visual elements that could tie the style of my book together.

Findings

One significant finding from my course was the improvement in my layout design skills. Initially, I encountered difficulties in arranging the content of my book in a visually appealing and functional manner. However, with the guidance of Mr. Vinod, I was able to overcome these challenges and create well-structured layouts that enhanced the overall look of my book. This newfound knowledge and ability to design effective layouts will undoubtedly help me in the future if I ever were to design a book again.
